Not sure what colour to choose?
Don’t worry - we get asked for advice from our customers about this all the time. Here's a quick guide to help you.
Firstly, this is just advice
These are not rules that are set in stone. If you love a colour that is apparently not “right” for you, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear it! You know best. If you love a colour and you wear it, you most likely will feel good, which will give you confidence – and that is by far the BEST thing you can ever wear! (As we always say #justbeyou…)
Finding your skin undertone
To determine what colours best suit you, you figure out what your skin undertone is. Your skin tone can change due to weather (getting a tan) or medical conditions (redness etc) but your undertone stays the same.
- If you tend to burn rather than tan, you are likely a cool undertone. If you tan easily, you are likely a warm undertone.
- Hold a piece of white paper up to your face (no makeup) in natural light. If your skin looks pink or blue against the white paper, you are a cool tone. If your skin looks yellow, green or light brown, you are a warm tone. If you look grey or ashen, then you are a neutral tone.
- Look at the veins in your wrist. If your veins look blue or purple, you are cool tone. If your veins are green, you are a warm tone. If the colour is hard to determine, you are most likely a neutral tone.
We hope this general guide will help you but if you have any more questions, feel free to contact us.
