How to care for your Dandelion Cork Bag?
As cork fabric is waterproof and anti-fungal in nature, they should require minimal maintenance. You may observe some “pores” on the fabric surface but do not worry, as this is due to natural cork being slightly porous. The cork sheets are fitted to cotton backing, hence they are very sturdy.
If there is a need to clean your bag – dip a cloth in warm water. Using the damp cloth, gently rub the surface of the cork bag in circles. When you are done, wipe the bag dry. Please do not submerge bag in water or wash bag in machine as the cotton backing may detach.
Try to avoid ironing your cork bag, but it you need to, keep to low-medium heat and never keep the iron in the same place for more than a few seconds at any one time. You should also use a pressing cloth.

Dandelion Cork - Handmade in Singapore

Handmade in Singapore by Dandelion Cork

Delicate, with the heart of a lion.

Founded in 2019, Dandelion Cork was born out of a passion for handcrafting accessories using cork fabric - a sustainable, vegan alternative to leather. The brand carries a collection of artisanal cork products, combining the lightness of cork with bold colours and intricate prints to achieve an elegance that is at once modern and timeless. All products are made in a smoke and pet-free home-based studio.

Cork comes from the bark of cork oak trees predominantly grown in the Mediterranean region of Europe. Trees are never cut down; only the bark is carefully stripped away by skilled agricultural workers. Trees go on to live for centuries and can be harvested over 16 times throughout their lifetimes. Cork is super soft, renewable, water- and dust-resistant, anti-fungal, hypoallergenic and incredibly lightweight!
